TAC Industries Welcome Dr. Dawayne Kirkman to Board of Directors
TAC Industries, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities and other barriers to gain meaningful employment, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dawayne Kirkman to its Board of Directors. With a passion for differences and acceptance, Kirkman brings a valuable expertise to support TAC Industries’ mission.
Kirkman holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from the University of Dayton, with a focus on Higher Education Administration. His dissertation, "Persisting to Graduation: Experiences of Degree-Seeking, First Generation, African American Males at a Community College," reflects his commitment to advancing educational opportunities and supporting high priority populations.
Kirkman serves as the Vice President of Student Affairs at Clark State College, where he spearheads initiatives to improve student enrollment, engagement, and success rates. His strategic leadership and dedication to fostering supportive and accepting environments have garnered recognition, including winning an award in 2023, as well as recognition as a Dayton Business Journal Forty Under Forty honoree in 2015.
Throughout his career, Kirkman has championed belonging. He has served on various committees and organizations, including Achieving the Dream, the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA), and the Fairborn Rotary.

In his new role as a board member, Kirkman will leverage his expertise to help guide TAC Industries' strategic direction, ensuring that the organization continues to empower individuals with disabilities and other barriers through employment opportunities.
