The People Strengthening America’s Supply Chain
For Thomas, the best part of the job is knowing his work contributes to something bigger than himself. “Proud knowing that you’re doing something for the Air Force,” he shared. Every day, Thomas helps produce equipment used by the United States Air Force, supporting military readiness and missions around the world. That responsibility gives him a strong sense of purpose and pride.
Built Here at Home
Thomas believes it matters where the work is done and where the materials come from.
“It feels awesome knowing that you’re using hardware from the United States to make the nets,” he said.
Being part of an American-made supply chain means contributing to work that strengthens both national defense and domestic manufacturing. For Thomas, that connection makes the work even more meaningful.
Embracing Modernization
Over time, Thomas has seen how modernization has improved the manufacturing process.
“It feels pretty good,” he said. “It makes the process go faster, which means we’re able to stock up on subassemblies and other pieces to get ahead.”
The changes have helped improve efficiency while allowing the team to stay organized and prepared. For Thomas, modernization has helped create a smoother process that benefits everyone involved.
Pride in Every Step
When asked what part of the work he’s most proud of, Thomas kept it simple: “Everything.”
That answer reflects the pride he takes not only in the finished product, but in every part of the process that helps get it there.
Quality Comes First
Thomas understands the importance of precision and attention to detail in his role.
“You have to have perfect quality,” he said. “There is no other option.”
That mindset is shared throughout the team. Every cargo net produced must meet strict standards before it leaves the facility, and Thomas takes that responsibility seriously.
Learning Patience and Teamwork
Working at TAC has also helped Thomas grow personally.
“I’ve learned patience,” he explained. “Taking your time to get the job done right the first time, and patience with coworkers.”
Those lessons have helped shape not only how he approaches his work, but how he works alongside others as part of a team.
Meaningful Work
When asked what his work means to him in one sentence, Thomas had a simple answer: “Everything.”
It’s a powerful reflection of the pride, purpose, and fulfillment he finds in supporting a mission that matters while working alongside a team that values quality, effort, and community every day.
