The People Strengthening America’s Supply Chain
For Robert, working on cargo nets used by the U.S. Air Force is more than just a job, it’s a personal connection to his family and a chance to support the people who serve our country. “I believe it is the best,” Robert said. “My father is in the Air Force and is very familiar with the nets I help make.”
Knowing his father understands the importance of the product makes Robert especially proud of the work he does every day.
Supporting Real Missions
Robert knows the cargo nets his team produces play an important role in military operations around the world. “It’s great because without the nets, how would the service men and women load and transport heavy equipment?” he said. “It’s difficult for soldiers to carry and secure heavy equipment, and our nets make that possible.”
That understanding gives purpose to every net he helps build. While he may not be the one using the equipment, he knows his work helps ensure service members have the tools they need to complete their missions safely.
Proudly Made in America
Robert believes there is no better place for this work than the United States. “100% of the nets should be made in the U.S.,” he said.
Producing the cargo nets here at home helps strengthen American manufacturing, supports U.S. jobs, and ensures the military receives products made with care and attention to detail.
Pride in Every Step
When asked what part of his work he is most proud of, Robert's answer was simple. “Making the nets—all of it.”
Whether it's one step in the process or seeing a finished cargo net ready for shipment, Robert takes pride in knowing he contributed to something that will make a difference.
Opportunity to Grow
Working at TAC has also opened doors that Robert says were difficult to find elsewhere. “In the past, I looked for jobs, but not everyone hires people with disabilities,” he said. “Thankfully this job supports everyone, regardless of their ability.”
Having the opportunity to work in an environment where people are valued for their abilities has helped Robert build confidence while contributing to meaningful work every day.
Work That Matters
When asked to describe what his work means to him in one sentence, Robert's answer reflected the pride he feels every time he comes to work.
“That I’m doing something important to support the Air Force.”
Those words capture the heart of his story. Every cargo net Robert helps produce represents teamwork, American craftsmanship, and a commitment to supporting the men and women who serve our country. Through his work, he is not only strengthening America’s supply chain, he is proving that meaningful opportunities create meaningful impact.
