The People Strengthening America’s Supply Chain
For Natalie, having a job isn’t something she takes for granted. “I feel blessed to have a job,” she shared. “When I was younger, I was told I wouldn’t be able to work, so I’m thankful.” Today, she plays an important role in supporting the United States Air Force by helping ensure that critical equipment is ready for use when and where it’s needed.
Pride in the Opportunity
Natalie’s work carries a deeper meaning because of the journey it took to get here.
“I think about other people who might not be able to work,” she said. “It makes me proud to be able to do the job.”
That perspective fuels her commitment each day. It’s not just about completing tasks, it’s about making the most of an opportunity she values deeply.
Keeping the Work Close to Home
Natalie also recognizes the importance of where the work happens.
“We don’t have to worry about bringing the hardware in anymore. It’s right here in Ohio,” she said.
That shift brings reliability, efficiency, and a sense of pride in contributing to a supply chain that is closer to home and stronger because of it.
Small Team, Big Impact
One thing Natalie believes might surprise people is just how much is accomplished by a relatively small group.
“People think it’s a big operation,” she said. “But it’s a smaller team doing the work.”
Despite that, the impact is significant. Each person plays a critical role in ensuring the final product meets the highest standards.
Adapting to Change
Like many on the team, Natalie has experienced the transition to more modern, efficient processes.
“It’s made everything faster and more efficient,” she said. “It was hard to learn at first, but my work is definitely easier now.”
That willingness to adapt has helped her grow and succeed in an evolving environment.
Taking Pride in the Process
Natalie takes particular pride in her role in preparing nets for shipment.
“Moving faster and packing the nets,” she said. “The new way is ten times better than the old way for me.”
Her work is a key part of ensuring everything is ready before it leaves the facility.
A Focus on Quality
Quality is something Natalie takes seriously.
“If I catch errors before I pack it, it goes back around to be fixed,” she explained.
That attention to detail helps ensure that every product meets expectations before it reaches the field, which is an essential part of supporting mission success.
Growth Through Patience
When asked how she’s grown through her work, Natalie’s answer is simple:
“Patience.”
It’s a skill that has helped her navigate change, learn new processes, and build confidence in her role.
A Supportive Environment
Natalie values the people she works with and the culture around her.
“The camaraderie and teamwork,” she said, are what she enjoys most.
She also points to the training and support that make a difference.
“There’s a lot of training provided, they don't just a rush to get you on the floor,” she said. “They push you, but not too hard. You get the training for as long as you need.”
That approach creates an environment where people feel comfortable learning, growing, and trying something new.
“It’s easier to learn when you feel comfortable doing it.”
A Meaningful Role
Natalie’s story is one of perseverance, growth, and gratitude.
What started as uncertainty has turned into confidence, purpose, and pride in her work.
And through it all, she’s proving that with the right support and opportunity, people can achieve more than they ever thought possible.
