The People Strengthening America’s Supply Chain
For Holly, the connection to her work is personal. My cousin is in the military, so it means a lot,” she shared. “It’s nice to know that I’m helping people who serve.” Working on equipment used by the United States Air Force gives her a sense of purpose that goes beyond the day-to-day. While she may not serve in uniform, she knows her work still plays a role in supporting those who do. “I can’t be in the armed forces,” she said, “but I can still serve my country.”
Finding Purpose and Belonging
For Holly, the importance of her job goes beyond the mission. It’s also about what it provides personally.
“It gives me a sense of purpose and belonging,” she said.
She values being in an environment where there are opportunities to grow and where people understand and relate to one another. That connection creates a space where everyone feel supported, encouraged, and empowered to succeed.
Proudly Made in America
Holly also recognizes the importance of keeping this work close to home.
“It’s easier access to resources and shorter wait times,” she explained. “And it makes us proud to have it all made in America.”
Being part of an American-made supply chain adds an extra layer of pride to everything she does.
A Team Effort
When Holly talks about her work, she doesn’t just focus on what she does herself, she emphasizes the team.
“I’m proud that I’m helping make the nets,” she said. “There’s a real community feel when we make them together.”
That sense of shared purpose is something she values deeply. Everyone contributes, and everyone plays a role in the final product.
Holding a High Standard
In her role, quality isn’t just important; it’s expected.
“The military is so precise,” Holly said. “People see our nets on the news, so we have to maintain that professionalism and those standards.”
That awareness drives her attention to detail and reinforces the responsibility behind every net produced.
Growing with Confidence
Holly has experienced meaningful personal growth through her work.
“I’ve been able to come out of my comfort zone and talk more,” she said. “I get to work with people I can relate to.”
That growth has helped her build confidence not just in her abilities, but in the value of the work she contributes to every day.
“There’s a sense of pride because the work I’m doing is important.”
Stronger Together
The team environment is one of Holly’s favorite parts of the job.
“We help each other. We ask questions and aren’t afraid to answer them,” she said. “If someone finds a better or faster way to do something, we listen.”
That openness and collaboration create a culture where everyone can improve, contribute, and succeed together.
Empowering Others
When asked to sum up what her work means to her, Holly didn’t hesitate:
“Empowering others and encouraging them to be part of the community.”
Her story is a reminder that meaningful work doesn’t just support a mission. It builds confidence, connection, and opportunity.
And for Holly, that’s what makes it all worthwhile.
