Mike brings energy, humor, and a servant’s heart to his role at TAC. Every day, he works to connect individuals, families, and team members, helping everyone work together toward shared goals. For Mike, the most rewarding part of his job is watching people step outside their comfort zones and discover what they're capable of achieving.
We sat down with Mike to learn more about what inspires him and why serving others is at the heart of everything he does.
How would you describe your role at TAC?
“I have the privilege of connecting what we do at TAC with the family members and support teams of the individuals we serve. It’s about bringing everyone together to help people grow in the areas that matter most to them.”
What part of TAC's mission connects with you the most?
“The opportunity to serve people. After leaving the military, I spent years looking for work where I truly felt I was giving back. TAC gave me that opportunity.”
What's your favorite part of working at TAC?
“Coming in every day and seeing people who are genuinely happy to be here and who actually look forward to my corny jokes and wild antics.”
What's the most rewarding part of your job?
“Helping someone move beyond their comfort zone. It can be challenging, but when someone trusts you enough to try something new and you get to watch them grow, there's nothing better.”
Where do you think you have the biggest impact?
“I try to meet people where they are, whether it's the individuals we serve, their families, or my coworkers. When people feel comfortable, they're more willing to grow.”
What is the most important lesson you've learned throughout your career?
“Never judge a book by its cover. Everyone has something valuable to offer the world. We just have to take the time to discover it.”
What do you think is the most important quality someone needs to be successful?
“Work hard, but play harder. We help people build careers, but we also need to show them that work can be fun. If you enjoy what you do and who you do it with, every day is a great day.”
What are you most proud of in your personal life?
“My sons, Colton and Jaxon. Everything I do is for them, and I look forward to the great men they'll become.”
