Kim has been a cornerstone of TAC for many years, holding several roles that all share one common thread: supporting and empowering individuals with disabilities. She began her career at TAC as a Community Inclusion Specialist, later became a Job Coach at two different group employment sites, and now serves as a Support Coach. Across every role, Kim’s heart for helping others has remained her guiding force.
We caught up with Kim to learn more about her journey, what keeps her inspired, and the moments she’s most proud of.
What’s your favorite part of your job?
“Helping individuals with disabilities learn new things and seeing the happiness they show when they do. It’s such a rewarding part of my work.”
What are you most proud of in your career so far?
“I’ve been able to work with individuals for almost 40 years and build lasting relationships with them. That’s something I’ll always cherish.”
Can you share a moment when you felt especially proud to be part of TAC?
“Being one of two staff members who took 12 individuals to Disney World. It was the first time there for many of them. Watching their joy in experiencing it was unforgettable.”
What do you think is the most important quality someone needs to be successful?
“You need to be trustworthy and reliable. People depend on you, and it’s important to show up for them.”
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned throughout your career?
“Always remember that you are affecting other people’s lives with what you do. That perspective shapes everything.”
Kim’s dedication, compassion, and ability to build meaningful connections have made her an invaluable part of the TAC team. From everyday coaching moments to once-in-a-lifetime trips, she brings heart and purpose to everything she does.
