This week, Meet Denise!
Denise’s role of Production Support means making sure that production gets done on the floor. When we receive a job from a partner, Denise works to provide the necessary supports and parts to make sure everyone we serve can do their job successfully.
What is your favorite part of the job?
I enjoy coming in early and setting up the work for the individuals to have everything ready when they come in. It’s rewarding to make sure there’s work to setup, that people are able to work, and to get the jobs out on time.
What are you most proud of in your career?
I’m proud of all of my accomplishments at TAC. I’m proud that I give my all, I give my best 100% of the time.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned throughout your career?
That everyone is different, not everyone learns on the same scale or in the same way. Everyone has different learning curves. But everyone WANTS to learn, they want to learn how to do the job and how to do it correctly. And when they get it right, they are so excited. Just because someone has a disability, doesn’t mean they don’t have goals. They just need the right person to help them achieve their goals.
If you had three wishes, what would they be?
Pay off my house, take a trip to Savannah, and go to Paris.
What is your most proud of in your personal life?
My family. My husband of 44 years, my 3 kids, and my 9 grandkids.
What is something you've always wanted to learn?
Home improvement. I watch all the shows and would love to flip a house someday.
