Chris plays an important role in helping individuals build confidence, skills, and independence in the community. Through patience, teaching, and leading by example, he supports individuals as they learn new jobs and discover what they’re capable of achieving.
We sat down with Chris to learn more about what motivates him and why this work means so much.
How would you describe your role at TAC?
“I help individuals with disabilities learn jobs in the community and build natural supports so they can be successful and involved in their communities.”
What part of TAC’s mission do you connect with the most?
“Empowering others to be the best they can.”
What’s your favorite part of your job?
“Teaching individuals how to do a job that might be hard for them and watching them become proud of themselves when they realize they can do it.”
Can you share a moment when you felt especially proud to be part of TAC?
“At our new net manufacturing building, an individual told me they were proud to see a Job Coach with disabilities at TAC. That meant a lot to me.”
What do you think is the most important quality someone needs to be successful?
“Patience and caring for others.”
Where do you think you can make the biggest impact in your role?
“By being an example that individuals can do anything if they believe in themselves.”
Chris brings heart, patience, and lived experience to his work every day. His ability to connect with individuals and model confidence shows others what’s possible and that belief in potential is at the core of what TAC stands for.
