This week, Meet Andrea!
If you've walked through the back doors of TAC, chances are you've been welcomed by Andrea’s warm smile and friendly “hello.” As our receptionist, Andrea plays a big role in setting the tone for the day - not just for staff and guests, but for the individuals we support.
“My role is to answer phones, greet guests and individuals, and assist other departments when they need help,” she says. “But to me, it’s more than that. I get to be the first person people see, and that can really make a difference in their day.”
Andrea brings a calm, caring energy to her work and it’s clear she has a deep connection to TAC’s mission. “I believe in being a voice for the individuals and helping them achieve their goals,” she shares. “I love showing everyone just how awesome they are.”
It’s not uncommon to see Andrea working on little surprises for her coworkers and the individuals we serve, like drawings and small gifts that brighten someone’s day. “My favorite part of the job is working with the individuals,” she says. “Sometimes I create drawings and things for them to enjoy.”
When asked what she's most proud of in her career so far, Andrea doesn’t hesitate: “How much I’ve grown as a person and as a worker. TAC helped me grow my self-confidence, and that’s something I carry with me every day.”
As someone who shows up with heart and intention, Andrea believes passion is the most important quality anyone can bring to the job. “You have to have the heart and the passion. That’s what makes the work meaningful.”
