The People Strengthening America’s Supply Chain
The People Make the Difference
When asked what makes his job important, Josh's answer was simple: “The people.” The relationships he has built with his teammates and the support he receives every day have made his work experience meaningful and rewarding. It’s a place where people work hard, support one another, and celebrate each other's successes.
Proudly Made in America
Josh believes that if a product is supporting the United States military, it should be made here at home. “We are supporting the United States,” he said. “It just makes sense that every part would be made here in the United States.” Being part of an American-made supply chain gives him a sense of pride and reinforces the importance of the work his team does.
Improving Through Innovation
Modernization and new equipment have changed the way the team works. “We’re able to make more nets quicker,” Josh explained, “which means I have more nets to inspect before they go out the door.” While production has become faster and more efficient, Josh's role remains critical. He is tasked with making sure every product leaving the facility meets the high standards expected by the military.
The Final Check
One of the things Josh is most proud of is the responsibility he carries as part of the final inspection process. “I do the final inspection on the nets to make sure they’re really good and up to the military’s standards,” he said. That responsibility requires focus, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
“Quality means making sure every sew and every piece of hardware is correct so that we aren’t sending bad nets out to the military.” Josh understands that every detail matters because the people using the equipment depend on it performing exactly as intended.
Learning and Growing
When asked what skills he has learned through his work, Josh's answer was immediate: “A lot. From improving my speech to doing the job well, I’ve learned so much here.” The opportunities and support he has received have helped him grow both personally and professionally, building confidence and teaching him skills that extend beyond the workplace.
A Team That Works Hard and Has Fun
One of Josh's favorite things about his team is the balance they have created. “We have fun together, but we know how to get the job done.” That camaraderie makes coming to work enjoyable while also reinforcing the shared commitment everyone has to producing a quality product.
Support Makes the Difference
Josh believes this workplace stands out because of the support employees receive. “TAC helps you do your job better,” he said. “They give you training and don’t just throw you into it without any support.” That investment in people creates an environment where employees can learn, grow, and succeed with confidence.
Work That Means Everything
When asked what his work means to him in one sentence, Josh didn't hesitate. “It means everything to me.”
Those few words say a lot.
For Josh, this work represents purpose, growth, friendship, and the opportunity to contribute to something that helps protect and support others. Every net he inspects carries that sense of pride and a commitment to ensuring the men and women who serve receive the very best.
