The People Strengthening America’s Supply Chain
For Brenden, working on equipment used by the U.S. Air Force is a source of pride. “It means a lot,” he said. “It’s patriotic.” Every day, Brenden plays a role in producing equipment that helps support military missions around the world. Knowing that his work contributes to something larger than himself gives him a strong sense of purpose. “It’s uplifting,” he said when asked how it feels knowing his work supports real missions.
A Job That Values People
One of the things Brenden appreciates most about his job is how people are treated. “You’re treated with respect here,” he said. That sense of respect and belonging has made a lasting impact on his experience and is one of the reasons he enjoys coming to work each day.
Made Here at Home
Brenden believes there is something special about knowing the work is done entirely in the United States. “It means everything,” he said. “It’s a group effort, and it’s all done here at home now.” Being part of an American-made supply chain gives him pride not only in the final product but also in the team behind it.
A Sense of Accomplishment
When asked what part of his work he is most proud of, Brenden pointed to the satisfaction that comes from completing a job well done. “I get a real sense of accomplishment from doing my work here.”
That feeling comes from knowing that every task contributes to a product that service members rely on and that every employee plays an important role in the process.
Quality Comes First
Brenden understands the responsibility that comes with producing equipment used in military operations. “Mistakes can be fatal for service members using the nets,” he said. “Quality is so important to avoid any issues.” That understanding drives his commitment to doing things the right way and ensuring every product meets the highest standards before it leaves the facility.
Growing Through Experience
Working at TAC has helped Brenden grow both personally and professionally. “It’s helped me get out of my shell,” he said, “and get a better understanding of other people and their strengths and abilities.” That growth has helped him build confidence while also learning the value that different perspectives and experiences bring to a team.
One of Brenden’s favorite things about working with his team is the way people are treated. “You’re treated like an actual person,” he said. He believes the workplace stands out because of the opportunities it creates for people of all abilities.
“Everyone here has a disability, but we’re all working and doing the job just like anyone else would.” For Brenden, that is a powerful reminder that ability is not defined by limitations but by the contributions people make every day.
Pride in the Mission
When asked what his work means to him in one sentence, Brenden’s answer was immediate: “Pride. In the work I’m doing and in my country.”
His story reflects the heart of the mission: dedicated people using their talents, supporting one another, and contributing to work that strengthens America’s supply chain and supports those who serve. Every day, Brenden brings that sense of pride to the job and it shows in everything he does.
